A sumptuous private island resort just a stone’s throw from Miami Beach has been revealed as Florida’s most expensive luxury hotel in a new survey by Luxury-Hotels.com.
The survey looked at rates at high-end hotels and resorts across Florida, using the cheapest available double room during the months of February and March 2018 as the point of comparison. These months are typically the time of the year when accommodation costs across the sun-kissed, southern US state are at their highest.
Located on a barrier island and offering an array of world class amenities including a private beach, golf course, tennis courts, spa and marina. Fisher Island Resort came top of the survey’s rankings with a minimum rate of $1,573 per night.
Looking at the other hotels and resorts that feature in the top ten, two are located on Miami Beach – the Faena Hotel ($1164) and the Setai ($1131). Meanwhile the priciest hotel to be found along the popular Florida Keys string of islands is The Moorings, with a rate of $1,127 per night.
The table below shows the 20 priciest luxury hotels and resorts in Florida. The rates shown reflect the cost for the cheapest available double room in each property during February & March 2018.
About the survey
The survey was conducted in January 2018. For every luxury hotel and resort in Florida, the cheapest available rate for a double room during the months of February and March was recorded, based on prices given by leading hotel booking websites. Only 2 or 3-night stays were considered for the survey, excluding Sunday-Monday. More affordable rates may be available for stays of four nights or more.
