About the Methodology:
The rankings above are based on the average hotel rates for a standard double room in the period from June 1 to August 31, 2011. The rates were taken 1 to 2 months in advance from the respective hotel websites or requested via phone. If the standard double room was sold out for a particular day, the standard “theoretical” rate for that day was taken and included in the average rating. All rates were established in U.S. dollars or converted into it with the exchange rate for the respective day.
